DONATIONS
The Consortium to Prevent School Violence seeks donations of all amounts to further its important work. The Consortium is primarily a volunteer effort that has no regular funding source. While the grass-roots volunteer approach will allow the group to launch its initial projects, the Consortium will need to hire part-time office and research support staff in order to expand these efforts.
In addition to requesting donations from the public to support a variety of minor operational costs, the Consortium seeks larger donations from businesses and philanthropically minded individuals to allow for expanded project activity. An initial annual budget of approximately $150,000 would allow the Consortium to broaden the scope of its work.
A breakdown of that proposed one-year budget is HERE.
Make a donation to the CPSV:
The Consortium to Prevent School Violence (CPSV) is NOT a 501(c)3 organization, and as such, any donations or other funds sent to the Consortium can not be used for charitable tax deduction purposes. The Consortium will be working towards obtaining 501(c)3 tax-exempt status and will post that information when it is available. That is not likely to occur until sometime in 2008.
